Sarah is a l991 graduate of Ross High School. She graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelors in finance. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Columbus for a job opportunity. While in Columbus, she met and married her husband, Jeff Peterson. Sarah and Jeff were married in April of 2003. Their daughter Abigail was born May 13, 2004. Shortly before Sarah delivered Abigail, she began having seizures. Subsequent tests done after the birth showed a tumor in Sarah's brain. Surgery in July of 2004 revealed that the tumor was cancerous.
